The Strathspey Celebrant

Bringing the beauty of nature and our natural surroundings into your service.

Katie Jachacy has grown up in the Cairngorms’ National Park and is very much at one with nature. Teaching skiing and snowboarding on Cairngorm Mountain grew a wanderlust, and the call to travel. This led to teaching on windy mountains all over the world and fulfilled an exciting chapter of meeting wonderful people from varied backgrounds. It has always been joked that Katie's dulcit tones are heard across the hills before you see her. Katie initially delved into a career in hospitality and care previously owning and managing the Pine Marten in Glenmore forest. Now Katie embarks on the journey of combining her best skills of organising and communicating, along with her warmth and charisma to help those in need of services as a celebrant.

Katie has previously organised weddings within the Pine Marten before and looks forward to conducting them there when weather is too dreich for loch Morlich beach. Katies natural, empathetic energy genuinely brings you closer to her and helps to capture all those stories and memories to be shared in your special ceremony. Being so genuine and easy to get along with Katie, would be an ideal choice for any of your funerals, weddings, naming’s and renewals.

Kindness has always been the foundation of any group I have led, along with the core values of honesty and communication. I have been lucky enough to observe my team thrive under these fundamental morals year after year, and I am proud they continue to look out for each other inside of work as well as outside on adventures. I feel super lucky to have been in a position to pass this ideal onto others already in my lifetime, and look forward to kindness being radiated within the building blocks of my future growth. As Mother Teresa said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless”.
